Summary
Red Flag is a simple exploration game that relies on the environment of the game to tell the narrative. As a lost explorer in a snowy wilderness, you must follow a trail of red flags back through mountains and forest to discover who you are and what is happening. The game combines elements of "Journey" and "The Long Dark" for an exploration experience that is supposed to be relaxing and inviting. I am using assets created by False Wisp Studios for my game, and I chose the art style of the game after being inspired by low-poly terrain in games like "The Long Dark." The target market for this game is older gamers who are more concerned with game narrative and relaxing game-play as opposed to long action and combat sequences. I am trying to make the game contain as little reflex based or skill based action as possible with the possible exception of climbing sequences.
